Here you can find different research projects that we are working on in which you can take part.

Current Research Opportunities

COULD YOU BE A SUPER-RECOGNISER?

This short 14-trial face recognition test is designed to probe your ability to recognise faces after only briefly seeing them and has now been taken by over 6 million people.

Scoring high might mean that you have exceptional abilities and you will be able to opt in for even more detailed tests. And the test is available in 7 languages!

UPLOAD FACE MASK SELFIES FOR £5 VOUCHER

We're planning new research examining the impact of face masks on face recognition accuracy, and would like your help by submitting some photos with and without face masks. The minimum requirement is 8 photos. Please see here for ethics information.

For every submission of 8 suitable photos we will send you a £5 Amazon voucher. If you'd like to supply more, we will also enter you into a prize draw!

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE RESEARCH PROJECT

Are you eligible for UK jury service and have 20 minutes spare to participate in our new survey? We're looking for participants (male in particular) to contribute to our latest research, looking at the impact of police body-worn cameras in domestic abuse cases.

Please note that this survey requires headphones and a quiet space to concentrate, and contains scenes of a sensitive nature.

HOW ABOUT VOICE RECOGNITION?

We are looking for people who think they may have superior voice recognition abilities. If you think this is you, please take part! You will complete a voice memory and voice matching test.

Note – if you have not taken any test before from our research group, you will be asked to take part in the face recognition tests first.
