Please note, there is a second highly similar study called "Nottingham Trent University Face Perception Research Collaboration (December 2019)" that is still ongoing. We will upload the results of this one in the New Year.

Harriet states that the maximum possible score on this test was 94. In half of the trials the correct answer was ‘same’, and in the other half the correct answer was ‘different’

There was a wide range of variability in the results. Some people scored very highly, but many did not. Your results on this test are not necessarily a true reflection of your face recognition ability. Rather, we are interested in whether there is a relationship between your performance on this test, and your performance on the Cambridge Face Memory Test: Extended (previously completed through the University of Greenwich Super-Recognisers website or associated media links).

Different participants experienced different randomly allocated conditions which may have impacted your scores. Some participants were asked to match two photos of faces, while others were asked to match a photo to an interactive image that they could click, drag and rotate. We are investigating whether the interactive procedure leads to higher accuracy. In our previous research we have found that using an interactive image does help people to match faces more accurately.
