Munich Police super-recognisers identified by our tests help with 200 cases. In September when I visited Munich, I was told about the cemetery thief spotted on CCTV. The police searched his house. Most handbags found were from old ladies visiting the graves of their loved ones and thinking they had lost the handbag - only a handful reported them stolen. As previously noted, it is very hard to run field studies empirically examining the impact of changes to police systems and procedures. Sometimes the only evidence supporting super-recogniser deployment is rather anecdotal like this.
