E2ID: New Innovate UK funded collaboration between VisionMetric Ltd. and the University of Greenwich

Together with commercial partners VisionMetric Ltd based in Canterbury, Dr Josh P Davis (co-investigator and Reader in Applied Psychology in the Department of Psychology, Social Work and Counselling) from the University of Greenwich will be undertaking a new development project, funded by Innovate UK starting 1 April 2019 (Project value £365,466). The project will examine methods for the accurate identification of facial composite images of suspects created from memory by eyewitnesses to a crime. The role of the University of Greenwich will be to contribute to the creation and psychological testing of facial stimuli and other research materials, and to assist in the testing of the system and images with police collaborators.
